If you're are stumped creatively or if you're not feeling inspired, I'm sure this feature will clear that all up!
Today I bring to you the incredibly talented, Holly of Holly Nicole Photography!
Holly has been with this page for a while now. I've been watching her, every submission speaks improvement! So I thought, why not share her inspiring self and photos on the blog one week? So I went ahead and asked and here she is.
She has a beautiful heart. She loves to support her fellow photographers! I am so honored to have her a featured artist on the P&R blog! Her answers are full of truth and wisdom. And not only is she amazing but it shows through her work as well. It has lots of feeling, lots of emotion.
I hope you are inspired today as well as everyday by all the photographers that surround you! We can never learn enough and the best kind of learning is from one another! Have a beautiful week. ♥

What does being a photographer mean to you?
Being a photographer to me means capturing a moment in a way that not only freezes time forever, but hopefully conveys emotion so you can remember the feelings experienced at that point-in-time.
When did you start to pursue photography and why?
The very first college classes I took were photography classes. I was always drawn to creative things and loved photo journalism. I borrowed my fathers vintage 35mm SLR and learned film and developing in a dark room. A few years later digital photography started getting popular but all I could afford was a point and shoot. I loved taking pictures of my toddler but knew that not having a "real" camera was holding me back. In 2008, after my second daughter was born, my husband bought me my first DSLR. I shot on automatic for a long time, then semi-automatic. And then in 2011 I finally told myself I needed to learn manual. I've not looked back since!
Why do you love what you do?
I love what I do because I love to document my family at every life stage in a way that is beautiful and artistic.
What is the most important thing that matters to you in your business?
Currently, since I had my third daughter, I've taken a step back on the business side to concentrate on my family. I'm strictly a hobbiest with the occasional friend or family member I may shoot for. But I would say that the thing that matters most to me is being true to my style and shooting what I love.
What is some of your favorite photographic equipment to use on your shoots?
My favorite piece of equipment is my 85mm prime, and a close second is my 35mm prime.
What's your favorite time of day to shoot in?
The Golden Hour!
If you were to give another photographer a piece of advice, what would it be?
Learn your camera backward and forward. Learn to get it right in camera. And try a 365 or 52 week project. My first 365 has improved my photography skill level in ways I've never imagined and made me look at life in a different way.
Did you have struggle that you overcame in the past that could help another photographer?
I struggled with telling people no and trying to please everyone when I was in business. I wanted everyone to be happy so I would shoot whatever the client wanted regardless of whether or not it fit my style. I think this delayed me really finding my style and stifled my creativity. I now know that I can't please everyone and everyone isn't my perfect client. If I go back into business I want people to hire me because they like my style and my work.
