Your Friendly Neighborhood Photographer > Thoughts

Hello New photographer,

I know you want to show your work to the world, but you don't think you're good enough or ready.  Well, I have a message for you!

We are never ready.  No matter how much you think you're preparing yourself, you're never. ever. ready!    The best things come unexpectedly.    What would this world be like if we were ready for everything and knew what to expect? It's impossible to say because we can't know everything and we don't know what will happen next!

You have that photographer you envy a lot.   Maybe a little too much that you can't find your true style because you're trying to create something similar.   Well,  you need stop.   Sit down and dig through your mind and find that real "you" style,  it's unique, and yours and no one can ever take it away or create it like you do!

This world is full of hate and there will always be people who make fun of your work! Keep tromping forward and DO NOT let a few persons stop you.     If you have ever received hateful messages or posts to your page, ignore them and move on.  The thing they want you to do is give up. Don't give up.

You have a gift no one else was given.   You have your own artistic way of things and your eyes see things differently than others.  Some just can't see it that way, but you do have a gift of your own!   Keep on your feet and doing what you love.

Be kind to others.  Some don't succeed only because their lack of kindness.  You don't want to be that "someone".   We will always be challenged.    In ways that we are quick to respond in the wrong way.

"Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to concuer fear, do not sit at home and think about it.  Go out and get busy"

~Dale Carnegie

Keep doing what you love. And remember  NO ONE has your style and can create it like you do!

Sincerely,
Your friendly neighborhood photographer

P.S   A message to those that aren't new photographers! Never degrade another person or their work, you started just as them, not knowing a lot of things and you could be the one helping them along, teaching them, showing them their mistakes that you made also when starting out.   Support eachother! Being a photographer is never an easy thing! :) ;)
